Free AWS Assessment

Clarify the next step before you commit to paid work.

Use one focused hour with a senior AWS engineer to examine your AWS platform, migration path, Terraform, GitHub Actions, or cloud bill. Findings and recommendations are delivered verbally on the call. The assessment is free and carries no obligation.

One hour during your team’s U.S. business day. Verbal findings only—no written report or deck.

An hour of straight answers

  • The session is led by a senior AWS engineer and stays focused on the AWS or DevOps problem you brought.
  • It's a working session. Bring an architecture diagram or your Cost Explorer view and we'll go through it together — feel free to bring an engineer along.
  • Scoping guidance may point to a free AWS tool, work your team can handle, a scoped Consulting project, or recurring Support and Advisory.

The boundary that keeps it free

What you get is an hour of honest findings and recommendations, delivered verbally on the call. We never produce a written report, deck, or follow-up summary in the free assessment — written deliverables are what paid engagements are for.

A useful call starts with a decision or outcome

  • You need to evaluate or deliver a defined AWS or DevOps decision, project, or prioritized engineering backlog.
  • Your team will retain account, repository, on-call, and operational ownership.
  • Business-hours collaboration with a named senior engineering lead fits the work.

What does not fit

Uptempo does not provide managed operations, a 24x7 pager, incident response, or a service desk. If the discussion points to implementation, the scope, access, schedule, and price are agreed before paid work begins.

Built around your team’s U.S. business day

Assessment appointments are available Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM in your team’s primary U.S. business time zone. Cal.com displays the available times in the time zone you select.

Three things to have on hand

  • How many AWS accounts you run — a rough "about five" is enough
  • Your rough monthly AWS spend — the number on the Cost Explorer home page is fine
  • The one thing that hurts most — the bill line nobody can explain, the deploy that scares people, or the migration that stalled

These are preparation prompts, not required form fields. Bring what is easy to share and keep sensitive details out of the booking form.

Keep booking details high level. Do not send credentials, account IDs, logs, private diagrams, client data, or confidential material through the scheduler. We can establish the right access and confidentiality terms if paid work follows.
